I keep seeing posts and posts of people asking if there computer can run vanguard.

First off. You can run a online test to see how your computer sums up with the the minimum req for Vanguard. This will tell you exactly if you can run Vanguard or not.
To do this follow these simple steps.
1. go to http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest
2. click on " select program and select Microsoft flight simulator X and click " can i run it "
3. after the test runs hit the " recomended tab " and check the results. The recomended tab for this game is pretty much on par on what the minimum system req for vanguard is.

If you get all green on this test you will be able to play Vanguard on minimum req.

Here are the specs required to run the system. please feel free to match up your system to the following.

System Requirements
Windows 2000/XP
2.4gig Intel processor or 2400+ or higher model AMD processor
( this means 2.4 or 2400+ will work. if your cpu is over this number your fine. core due is instant recomended as it is much much more powerfull then the single cores.
512Mb ram ( this means you dont need over 1 gig ram to run the game. 512 will work )

100% DirectX 9.0c compatible computer
100% DirectX compatible keyboard or input device
Vertex and Pixel shader 2.0 compatible hardware with 128mb of texture memory
( This means a video card with 128mb of memory along with version 2.0 vertex and pixel compatability. please check your video card box or visit the company website to see if your vid card matches. )

100% DirectX compatible sound card
56k+ Internet connection ( this is dial up )
16x speed dvd rom
20 gigabytes hard drive space

3.0 gig Intel processor or 3500+ or higher model AMD processor
( any core duo processor also fits in here )
2 Gb ram ( unless your operating system is 64 bit your computer will not take advantage or even use over 2 gig of ram. if you are upgrading ram to 4 gig make sure you are not using a 32 bit OS. )

( This means a video card with 256mb =/+ of memory along with version 2.0 vertex and pixel compatability. please check your video card box or visit the company website to see if your vid card matches. )

If you would like to actually see if the game will run on the computer by running some in game footage ( a hill with trees ) follow these steps

if you downloaded the Vanguard files from Fileplanet or have the 17 gig install on your harddrive goto the install directory.
look under /vanguard/bin then click the file VGClient.exe it will load the gameUI and start screen i assume (without server connecting) and hit the ESCAPE key and you can set the settings for the game. So you can see if it will load for you or if u need to change the settings.also hit the "/" key to bring up the chat and combat window

This will not work with the preorder cd. ONLY WITH THE DOWNLOAD version***
